2012 SPRING SEASON Schedules Are Posted Online The following divisions are offered for the Spring Season “T Ball” Division: Ages 4-6 “Coach Pitch” Division: Ages 6-7 *6yo must have at least one year of Little League Tee Ball to be eligible for Coach Pitch “A” Division: Ages 7-8 “AA” Division: Ages 8-9 “AAA” Division: Ages 9-10 “Majors” Division: Ages 11-12 "Juniors" Division: Ages 13-14 "Seniors" Division: Ages 15-16 Challenger Division: Junior and Senior Ages "Big League"Division: Ages 17-18 League ages are child’s age on April 30, 2012 Jonathan Bryant Riggs played baseball for LFLL on the Challenger team for 8 years. He really loved to play the game. He cheered for his team and he cheered for the opposing team. When he got to first base, he usually hugged the baseman. When he first started to play, he had to hit off of the tee, but with a lot of work and the "1,2,3,Pow!", he was finally able to hit the ball from a pitch. He was very proud of himself. He would turn to see his mom in the stands and wave while everyone was yelling RUN!! Jon will be missed this year by his teammates, coaching staff and all the families of the Challenger Division teams and LFLL teams. Jon passed away on New Year's Day this year at the very young age of 22. As a memorial for his love of the game, all of the Challenger players and Majors players will have an extra patch on their uniforms this season with his initials, JR in white letters against a black circle.
